May 25thFlag Placement at the Eastern Shore Veteran’s Cemetery in Hurlock at 8 am. Volunteers are needed to help place a flag at every veteran’s grave in commemoration of Memorial Day. Bring a small hammer to help place the flag in the ground.

May 28thDGC On-the-Road! Support our Club as we take a bus trip to Hillwood Estate, Museum and Garden in Washington DC, home of Marjorie Merryweather Post. Enjoy guided tours of the 25-acre gardens and woodlands as well as the mansion which features a collection of Faberge, beautiful Russian and French decorative arts (china!) and a delicious lunch in the Hillwood Café—all for $90.00. It will be a wonderful day. Bring friends! See David Adams about the trip.

Bring a friend! Save Gently-Used Purses (aka Handbags, Pocketbooks!) and Jewelry. DCG will hold a silent auction of your beautiful, donated purses at our annual Picnic in June (anything to make a buck, right?)

October 2ndDistrict I Semi-Annual Meeting hosted by Talbot County GC at the Talbot County Country Club. Featured Speaker is Valerie Eccleston, Executive Master of the Ichiyo Schoool of Ikebana. 

October 19thDistrict I Flower Show at the Oxford Community Center entitled ‘Halloween.’  

DGC Board Meetings are open to the membership. At least one representative of all committees are urged to attend. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month (every other month) from 10 am – 12 pm at Chesapeake College, Cambridge Campus on Race Street on the following dates:  June 5th, August 7th, October 1st (Tuesday!), December 4th and February 5, 2020.

District I Annual Meeting, March 2020  - Jewelry Sale as a fundraiser. If you have any items (gold, silver, costume) you haven’t worn for years and don’t intend to wear again, please consider donating. Jeanne Bernard will handle the collection.
