March 24thFGCMD 91st Annual Meeting at Turf Valley Resort featuring Summer Rayne, a media influencer, an American fashion model, environmental activist, author, and entrepreneur, known as the world's first "eco-model." She will be telling us “How to Make a Plant Love You.” Her book will be available for purchase.

March 25th “Great Native Plants for the Home Landscape” featuring The Plant Geek, Louis Raymond. This 1:30 pmlecture is a part of the TCGC Winter Speaker Series and will be held at the Talbot County Free Library.

April 1st – 2nd NGC Environmental School, Course IV. Chesapeake College in Wye Mills. Check the FGCMD website for information and registration.

April 18thDistrict I will sponsor the annual Alice Rush McKeon Tree Planting in coordination with the MD State Highway Administration. There will also be a Dedication Ceremony for the first Gold Star Memorial Marker, which will honor the families of veterans, sponsored by the Federated Garden Clubs of MD, Inc. Both ceremonies will take place at the Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery, 6827 East New Market Ellwood Road, Hurlock, MD 21643 at 11:00 A.M.

EXTRA! EXTRA!Train to Become a Master Naturalist (Our own DGC Member Kathy Slaughter has already taken the training so ask her about her experience!). Offered by the Adkins Arboretum in partnership with Pickering Creek Audubon Center, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center and ShoreRivers.
