District I Annual Meeting, March 2020 - Jewelry Sale as a fundraiser. If you have any items (gold, silver, costume) you haven’t worn for years and don’t intend to wear again, please consider donating. Jeanne Bernard will handle the collection.

October 19thDistrict I will host a Flower Show at the Oxford Community Center entitled ‘Halloween,’ from 1:30 pm - 5 pm. The show schedule has been distributed electronically. Entry cards available at our October meeting.

October 21stMake Your Own Worm Compost Bin sponsored by the Queen Anne’s County Master Gardeners at the Queen Anne’s County Library. Open to all, but space is limited. Cost is $20.00. November 8thDGC Meeting-“Christmas Decorating—Behind the Scenes at the White House” with Claire Jones.

November 14thFGCMD presents: Holiday Floral Designs, Deconstructed and Reimagined-a demonstration by Terry Godfrey, AIFD. 9:00 am – Noon-ish at the Vollmer Center at Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore (410.396.4842, office@fgcofmd.org. November 20, Hagerstown Garden Club presents “Asian Allure and More...”, Fountain Head Country Club, Hagerstown, MD, $35 includes luncheon, doors open 10:30 for Unique Boutique. See FGCMD calendar for details.

December 3rdHoliday Wreath Workshop-start saving those pods, cones, ribbons, ornaments, shells and other baubles for decorating your wreath! We’ll need lots of greens to share as well. 

December 7, Kent Island Garden Club presents “Holiday in the Home,” Floral demo, shopping and more. Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department, Chester, MD, 1:30-3:30, $15.

EXTRA! EXTRA!Train to Become a Master Naturalist (Our own DGC Member Kathy Slaughter has already taken the training so ask her about her experience!). Offered by the Adkins Arboretum in partnership with Pickering Creek Audubon Center, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center and ShoreRivers.
